Potential Conflicts With Medications This drug should not be taken at the same time as any monoamine oxidase inhibitors  (MAOIs). In addition, you should wait 14 days between discontinuing an MAOI and starting to take Vyvanse, so that the MAOI has completely worked out of your system. Taking the two drugs together increases the risk of a dangerous hypertensive crisis.
